Cesi, suggestive village along the slopes of the Mount Eolo, is a village that keeps important historic and artistical testimonies.
Its history is to find in the Roman Age and in the Middle Ages when it was part of the Arnolfi's feud, in which it was the capital.
Cesi has medieval walls to a large extent around it and thanks to its position it was a strategic fortress for the defense and for the attacks by enemies.
In the most ancient buildings we can still see the old methods of defense as trap doors for sudden traps or utensils for the throwing of old "ammunition".

The Church belonged to the Abbey of Montecassino and, according to the testimonies, its building goes up again around 1080. we can see other example of anscient architecture in
Stocchi palace, Eustachi palace, the parochial church of Santa Maria Assunta, the church of S.Agnese, the church of S.Onofrio, the patron saint, immersed in the homonymous wood.
